Beginner Level 1 - Basic sewing skills needed

Beginner Level 2 - Made at least 1, beginner level 1 quilt

Intermediate Level - Made at least 1, beginner level 2 quilt

Beginner Quiltmaking -
In this beginner class you will learn all the basics, from reading a pattern, measuring and cutting fabric, using a rotary cutter, piecing blocks, assembling rows and adding borders to your quilt top. You may come to any or all of the beginner classes, but it is suggested that you attend at least two in order to complete your quilt top. This class is also open to anyone that would like assistance in any beginner level quiltmaking. First time participants will be able to use all of our cutting supplies, including rotary cutters, rulers and mats.

Zipper Pouches Galore -
Learn to put zippers in mini duffles, totes and pouches. Choose from one of our many zippered patterns and Linda, our official 'zipper queen', will take the fear out of zippers forever and show you the easiest zipper insertion technique you can imagine You will be hooked on zippers too!!!

It's A Wrap -
Fabric Bowls are quick, easy and a great way to use up your scraps to make something functional and fun. But I warn you, this technique is very addictive! Once you learn how to make one, you will want to make many more.

Disappearing 4 Patch -
You are just going to love how fun and easy this quilt is from just 2 colors! We have been hard at work creating this pattern which will be offered free with purchase of the kit. Let us show you how a unique cutting technique makes this stunning quilt.

Quilt As You Go Tablerunner -
This is bound to be your most favorite project yet! It is fun, fast and you quilt as you go, so after binding it you are finished!!! We will share our tips for accurate piecing and perfectly straight angles and you will want one for every table in your house!

Hand Piecing 101 -
Learn traditional techniques for piecing your quilt by hand. This is a fun way to "cut the cord', the electrical cord that is, and makes your piecework portable!

Traditional elegance with a fraction of the work and none of the frustration. Learn how to transform rectangles into this show stopping quilt. Let Tami show you how Quiltsmart can be your best secret for creating the perfect Lone Star!

Quilter's Quarter Dressmaking -
Do you have a little girl in your life that could use a sweet summer dress? Join us as we continue to branch out into creative sewing, but hang on to those FQs, because you will need only 7 of them to make this dress. Choose from sleeveless or cap sleeves.

Cotton Theory -
The Cotton Theory method makes quilting easy, no matter what size quilt you're making! During the assembly, you will stitch strips in place using one or more Cotton Theory techniques, taught by Ardell, our CT certified instructor. This adds extra dimension to the surface and the result is a reversible quilt.

Machine Quilting -
We will teach you how to use your home sewing machine to quilt! Learn skills for accuracy and build your creative potential. Some of the stitches you will learn are stitch in the ditch, cross hatch, echo and free motion.
You will need our preprinted panel, batting and backing, a walking foot and a darning foot for your machine.

Fabric Flowers-
You don't have to wait for Spring to bring flowers in from your yard, let Kay show you how to make them in fabric to last the whole year through. Use them to embellish your quilts, purses, totes, hair ties, pins, quilts or any other item that might need some 'flowering up'.

Paper Piecing-
Let us show you how easy Paper Piecing really is! This beginner class will cover everything you need to know including our helpful tips and techniques for perfect points every time.

Toothbrush Rug Making -
Made from torn (or cut) strips of fabric and a modified toothbrush tool. May will teach you how quick these are to make and how they are a great 'no sew' portable project. These rugs are a great way to use up all your quilting scraps strips! If you make it with cotton fabric, they will be washable and will last for years.

Quilt Binding 101 -
This is the perfect class for learning the art of quilt binding. We will cover all the basics you will need to know for straight binding, bias binding, mitered corners and sweet endings! This is a 'must do' class for the beginning quilter.
